Description
A deciduous shrub with large, architectural, lobed leaves. Edible, sweet figs may be produced in autumn.

Possible Situation
Perfect in a sunny, sheltered courtyard, against a wall for support.

Ideal Conditions
Prefers moist, free-draining soil in a sunny, sheltered position. Best grown trained against a sunny wall or fence. Restrict roots by laying rubble in the planting hole and lining the sides with paving slabs.

Temperature Tolerance
This is a frost tender plant and will need to be protected in cold weather to help it survive.
