This is technically part of the "fertile blue group" of Meconopsis. Not common in cultivation, but this is a reliable form of this perennial from The Himalayas, with enormous electric, cobalt-blue flowers, up to four inches (10cm) across and distinctive rusty brown hairs on the stems and new leaves. Certainly the best form of this group available in the world today.
