Description
The Rhodohypoxis is a South African bulbous alpine plant with grassy leaves and star-shaped flowers. This variety has glorious magenta flowers.

Possible Situation
Ideal for pots on the patio, in border fringes or raised beds. Often used in granite planting sinks with other alpines and low growing varieties.

Ideal Conditions
The Rhodohypoxis has been known to grow in swampy areas, but should be kept on the dry side, with free draining soil during winter. However, do not allow the bulbs to completely dry out.

Temperature Tolerance
Can survive winter in very well protected, free draining garden situations, especially if sheltered from hard frosts.
