Narrative Description:

Blue-green leaves edged with creamy-white variegation develop pink tinges in cooler climes. Tall flower spikes emerge in late spring with violet-blue thistle-like, sea holly flower clusters. The flower heads are long lived, and they look great when added to both fresh and dried arrangements.

Ideal Conditions:

Best grown in full sun, in well-drained soil with shelter from cold winds.

Possible Situation:

This robust and versatile plant is the ideal addition to a costal garden, a cutting garden, as a container plant or grown in the middle of a border.
