Narrative Description:

A sensational variegated 'Jacobs Ladder'. A medium sized mound of mid-green ferny leaves. Each leaflet strongly edged in creamy white and flushed with pink during cooler spring months. Clusters of lightly fragrant violet-blue bells rise taller in mid to late spring.

Ideal Conditions:

Prefers cool partial shade in the hottest summer months, with free draining soil or compost. Prefers rich, humusy, consistently moist soils that do not dry out.

Possible Situation:

Striking foliage will brighten shady locations in border fronts, woodland gardens, cottage gardens or shade gardens.
