Narrative Description:

Also known as Chinese Lanterns, this herbaceous perennial has attractive bright orange lantern shaped seed heads that appear in autumn. Ideal plant for a container display, great end of year interest and goes well with Heucheras.

Ideal Conditions:

Prefers full sun, or partial shade with moist soil or compost.

Possible Situation:

A great plant as an eyecatcher in the border or for the cutting garden. The edible, orange seed heads add extra interest in the Autumn.
