Narrative Description:
Probably the best known and most reliable of the tree ferns, and deservedly popular. Offering finely divided, bright emerald-green arching fronds, unfurling from furry reddish-brown young growth. Attaining with time, a tactile reddish trunk. A classic choice for the jungle garden. Native to Tasmania and eastern Australia, and happiest in humid, partial shade.
