Narrative Description:

A neat alpine, with compact evergreen cushions, plump needles of foliage, which burst into life in spring: star-spangled – flowers of blue margins and brushstrokes of white down the central mid-rib, as opposed to white margins and blue mid-rib yielded on the equally well known ‘Blue Star’.

Ideal Conditions:

Prefers full sun, or partial shade with free-draining, low-lime (acidic) soil or compost.

Possible Situation:

Fantastic in borders, rock gardens or in alpine containers for the patio.
