Well known hardy evergreen shrub with glossy green leaves, which exhibit small yellow flowers. Often used in all forms of cooking for additional flavour.

If pruned this herb can make a particularly attractive shrub in the pot, border or herb garden, but over years will make a large tree if allowed.

A hardy plant which should survive normal winter conditions outside, especially if protected from the hardest frosts.
